10:50 a.m.  Dean Youngblood will escort you to MI 209 for Prof. Pablo Toral’s course, POLS 160 “International Politics.”

 

11:00-11:50 a.m.  Conversation with Prof. Toral and his students. You are welcome to talk about your documentary projects and you research.

 

Noon: The Multicultural Center with arrange lunch.

 

12:50 p.m.  Dean Youngblood will arrange an escort for you to the Moore Study Lounge for a conversation with students in two classes: Prof. Debra Majeed’s RLST 220/IDST 228 “Martin Luther King Jr.: Quest for Social Justice” and Prof. Ann Davies’ POLS 180 “Introduction to Political Thinking.” The theme: “History of Lynching and the Complicity of Ordinary People”. Students will have read chapter 3 of Sherrilyn Ifill’s On the Courthouse Lawn (A scanned copy of the chapter will be emailed (or faxed, if necessary) separately.

10:50 a.m. Prof. Majeed will escort you to MI 107 for Prof. Heath Massey’s course, PHIL 260 “Race Theory”

 

11:00-11:30 a.m. Conversation with Prof. Massey and students. You are welcome to talk about your project and how it relates to race.

 

11:30 a.m. Dean Youngblood will escort you to lunch and discuss feedback.

 

12:50 p.m. Dean Youngblood will escort you to Richardson Auditorium for Prof. Linda Sturtz’s course, HIST 150 “Slavery and Abolition.”

 

1:00-2:50 p.m. Discussion with Prof. Sturtz and her students about history and lynching as they come together in your filmmaking.
